Base Camp Pre-work

The primary purpose of this Pre-Work is to create a readiness for the learning in which you and your District Change Team will engage at Base Camp and Summit. It is the responsibility of the IIC to facilitate this readiness by creating opportunities for the District Change Team to interact with the Pre-Work and make connections before, during and after the events.

Your required readings for Base Camp have been specially selected to align with (1) our event theme of graduation, drop-out, and student progression rates, and (2b) GLISI’s Systemic Leadership Process:

Leadership Summit Pre-work

The primary purpose of this Pre-Work is to create a readiness for the learning in which you and your District Change Team will engage at Base Camp and Leadership Summit. It is the responsibility of the IIC to facilitate this readiness by creating opportunities for the District Change Team to interact with the Pre-Work and make connections before, during and after the events.

The books referenced below are not provided by GLISI, but are highly recommended as resources for book study groups, etc. GLISI is happy to provide these Study Guides for your convenience.

Quick Start Guides

Quick Start Guides are resources that can help you implement the phases of GLISI’s Framework for Leadership of School Improvement. They provide additional information about each section on the Framework, in a step-by-step format to help you implement with fidelity. These resources are best used as follow-up material for participants who have attended Base Camp and Leadership Summit, and are ready for additional support materials beyond what is provided in the binders.
