I believe educational leaders like health care providers, should have as their mantra “cause no harm” to the students that have been entrusted to them for optimal educational opportunities. Leaders must serve as role models to both students and adults by putting aside political posturing, divisive competitiveness and personal ambitions to become the servant leaders needed in our schools and educational communities. Competent and committed administrators and teacher-leaders are at the heart of improving education for all students. All children can learn if the adults in their lives will just lead the way.

As part of the GLISI family, I bring my experiences as an educator at both the school and district levels and my love for professional learning. I will work collaboratively to ensure the success of every person, program and initiative that is developed and implemented by GLISI to meet the needs of the clients we serve. I will continuously learn and apply best practices in my work and strive as a GLISI member to communicate, demonstrate and achieve our mission –“provide systemic solutions to improve education leadership in Georgia”.
